Windows
Windows 10 and 11, 64-bit
The download is Microsoft’s small installer: it installs RapidCreate from the Microsoft Store, which keeps it up to date.
Mac
macOS 12 or later, Apple silicon and Intel
The main button is for Apple silicon (M1 and later). Not sure which you have? Open the Apple menu, then About This Mac: a “Chip” line means Apple silicon, a “Processor” line Intel.

System requirements
RapidCreate does the heavy work on your computer, so a faster machine renders faster. These are what it needs to run.
- Windows
Windows 10 (version 1809 or later) or Windows 11, 64-bit
We build and test it on Windows 11.
- Mac
macOS 12 Monterey or later, on Apple silicon or Intel
We build and check it on macOS 15.
- Graphics
A graphics card that supports WebGL 2
Most computers from the last several years have one, and every Mac that runs macOS 12. Hardware video encoding makes exports faster, but it isn’t required.
- Disk space
Room for the app and your media library
The library keeps a copy of the footage, photos and music you use, so it grows as you make more. You can move it to another drive.
- Internet
To write new videos and posts, and to fetch stock
Editing, rendering and exporting happen on your computer.
Installing
- On Windows, a small installer from Microsoft fetches RapidCreate from the Microsoft Store and installs it, with no administrator rights needed. The Store keeps it up to date
- On a Mac, open the download and drag RapidCreate into Applications. It is notarized by Apple. A new version is a new download from this page
- Video tools are built in. Transcription downloads its speech model the first time you use it
